Welcome to the City of Halstad, Minnesota! City services are provided to over 600 people including water, sewer, electricity, garbage and recycling. Halstad Municipal Utilities prides itself on high quality, affordable services for local residents. Most recent updates include new generators for backup power and underground power lines.

Billing

Application

The Halstad Municipal Utilities provides the electric, water, sewer and garbage services for the residents of Halstad. All customers must fill out a New Customer Form to obtain utility services.

Deposit

All customers are required to pay a $100.00 meter deposit upon the request for utility services. The Halstad Municipal Utilities reserves the right to require chronically delinquent customers to provide a higher meter deposit.

Due Date

All services are billed for on one monthly utility bill. Bills are sent out by the 5th of the month and are due by the 21st of the month. If the 21st falls on a weekend or holiday, the bill is due the next working day. A penalty of 10% of the current charges will be applied after the 21st.

Disconnection

If payment is not received by the 25th of the month, a disconnect notice will be sent out. Payment is required by the 10th of the following month, giving 15 days to pay before service could be disconnected.

Sump Pump Violation fee $50.00

Garbage

The City of Halstad contracts with Fuchs Sanitation for garbage service. Garbage is picked up early Monday mornings. Place your garbage in bags or containers on the boulevard.
