The Western Norman Community Fund (WNCF), including the western Norman County communities of Halstad, Hendrum, Perley, and Shelly, has been established to provide a means for people or businesses to make tax-deductible gifts to help secure the future of our communities.

The purpose and mission of this fund is to support charitable, educational and public purpose projects and programs, activities or services that improve the quality of life of the residents and visitors of the western Norman County communities of Halstad, Hendrum, Perley, and Shelly.

As this fund grows, the opportunity to provide grants and to focus on community projects will be realized.  We need your support to build our endowment to invest in these communities.  Please consider a tax-deductible gift using the form, link or QR code below, or to set up an ongoing contribution, please contact one of the Advisory Committee members or Dawn Ganje at Northwest Minnesota Foundation.  dawng@nwmf.org

What is a Community Fund?

A community fund is a tax-exempt, 501 (c)(3) charitable program comprised primarily of permanent funds endowed by many separate donors for the long term benefit of a given city, region, or state.

What Kind of Programs Will a Community Fund Support?

Priority areas are established by an Advisory Committee with guidance from NMF.  A variety of grants and projects supporting these priorities can be accomplished to serve the needs of both the community and donors.

How Can I Help?

The WNCF Advisory Committee has established a number of goals to build and grow the Western Norman Community Fund.  Your monetary gift will help to grow the fund to help meet the needs of the community we serve through grants and special projects.

Landmark, located in Halstad, Minnesota was formerly the Norman County West High School.  The mission of Landmark is to promote community and advance the self-sufficiency of residents of all ages in a state-of-the-art Community Education, Fitness and Recreation Center.
