Robin Stene, COO of Valley United, presented a generous donation of $10,000 (including matched funds) to Jeremy Melting, President of the Halstad Business League. The donation will be passed through the business league’s 501(c)(3) non-profit, Help Enrich Advance Retail (H.E.A.R.), to the Halstad Fire Department. Valley United’s contribution is being made as part of CoBank’s Sharing Success program, a fund that matches the contributions of CoBank’s customers to the charities of their choice. Halstad Fire Chief, Todd Westcott, stated, “We have had six new members join in 2021 and would like to have more join to balance out our response team. We are very appreciative of this donation, and we will be using the money to purchase Turnout Gear for our firefighters.” If you are interested in learning more about the legendary Halstad Fire Department, contact the Halstad Municipal Utilities at 218-456-2128 or
