Introducing TextMyGov

 The City of Halstad is happy to announce the implementation of the TextMyGov service!

This messaging service is a simple, convenient way to receive important information from the City of Halstad AND report issues using text messaging.

There is no app to download. Simply send a text message from your cellphone to get the information you need, 24/7.

How to Sign Up for Notifications

This option is for one-way communication.

Text “Halstad” to 91896.

After sending the initial text, you will receive a confirmation message. Reply “Yes” to opt-in.

You may receive notifications about city events, meetings, snow emergencies, power outages, water and sewer issues, and more from the City of Halstad.

You cannot reply to this number, except to opt-in or opt-out of receiving messages.

 

How to Opt Out

Text “Stop” to 91896 at any time to be removed from this service.  Text the keyword again to start receiving messages again.

 

Report Issues and Find Information

This option is for two-way communication.

Text “Hi”, “Hello”, or “Hey” to 218.335.5322 to get started.

This service allows you to report issues as well as ask any question you may have.

To report an issue, text a word that summarizes the issue you want to report and answer the questions that follow.  Some examples of keywords you can text are “Street”, “Streetlight”, “Chat”, “Report”, and “Landmark”.
